7900-series
The interior of bus #7900 at CTA's South Shops Maintenance Facility on February 6, 2014. At the front of the bus, the most notable change from past CTA bus models is the more substantial protective barrier for bus operators. Elsewhere, the twin front seats behind the driver on CTA's previous generation Nova LFS buses have been replaced with a single, aisle-facing seat. Various computer equipment is located in a compartment suspended above this seat, necessitating a sign warning of the limited 175cm vertical clearance. Note the visible wiring for CTA's Ventra card reader, which was not yet installed at the time of this photograph.
